Louisiana Academy of Production is a new, tuition-free high school in Baton Rouge, where students experience more than film and TV production. They pursue creative, industry-connected learning and rigorous academics within a vibrant, well-rounded high school community.

The lottery was held on January 5, 2026. Selected families have been notified. Waitlisted students will be offered seats as space becomes available. If no waitlist exists, remaining seats are filled first-come, first-served.

Yes! The student lottery for the Louisiana Academy of Production took place on January 6, 2026. Lottery results were announced the next day. If student applications exceed the number of seats available, they are put on a waitlist by the date of application. As families accept or decline their lottery offers, waitlist students are notified of availability. We have open enrollment if there is no waitlist.

For the 2026-2027 school year, our school will serve grade 9. Our school will add one grade each year, and plans to serve grades 9-12 by 2029.
Yes. Our school offers free before and after-care services. Hours are from 7:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Instruction will begin at 7:30 a.m., but students are welcome to come early to read, study, or use a computer. Should a parent need to drop their child off as early as 6:30 a.m. (in order to get to work on time, for example), our doors will be open at that time.
Yes. Students are expected to be dressed neatly, well-groomed, and have a general good appearance. Our Dress Code and Uniform Policy can be found in our Parent-Student Handbook.
