About Our Board of Directors
The Louisiana Academy of Production (LAAP) is governed by a Board of Directors who, in partnership with the Executive Director, oversee the Louisiana Academy of Production High School.
The Board's primary responsibilities include:
- Developing curriculum and instruction strategies to meet student needs.
- Creating a supportive school culture that fosters student success.
- Ensuring the school's environment and academics comply with all applicable regulations.
The Board is committed to ethical conduct and ongoing development, including training in areas such as board expansion, member recruitment, fundraising, strategic planning, and evaluation.

Louisiana Academy of Production is required to promptly notify the Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE) and the Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) of any circumstances that may result in a deviation from its approved charter or applicable state/BESE regulations. This includes, but is not limited to, school closures, arrests of individuals working for or directing the organization, defaults on financial obligations, changes to information filed with the Secretary of State, and substantial decreases in enrollment.
Fight Fraud, Waste, and Abuse:
LAAP encourages anyone with knowledge of fraudulent activity to report it to the Louisiana Legislative Auditor's Hotline. Reports are confidential, and detailed information is expected.

Board Meetings & Meeting Agendas
2025 Board Meeting Schedule: LAAP meets every other month in 2025. Meetings are open to the public, in accordance with Louisiana's Open Meeting Law. If you wish to address the Board, please contact the Executive Director first to ensure your topic is added to the agenda, allowing time for research and preparation.
Meetings: Held at 12:00 PM at CELTIC Studios (10000 Celtic Drive, Baton Rouge, LA 70809), unless otherwise announced. Meetings are also live-streamed on Zoom.
